Edward D. Studer

Edward D. Studer, age 87, of 27 Maple Street, Shelby, died early Friday morning January 17, 2003 at Med Central Shelby Hospital.
Mr. Studer was born August 15, 1915 in New Washington, Ohio the son of the late Donatus and Esther Studer. He was an Army veteran of WWII and retired from Westinghouse in Mansfield after 42 years of service. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and a former member of the Shelby Moose Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Ed is survived by his wife, Anna M. (Alt) Studer, whom he wed on November 28, 1946; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Larry Studer of Salem, OR, James and Jeannine Studer of Huron, OH and Dennis and Lorraine Studer of Galena, OH; 3 grandchildren, Sean Studer of San Diego, CA, Erin Studer of Bowling Green, OH and Dena Studer of Galena, OH; 3 brothers and 4 sisters-in-law, Paul and Rita Studer of Mansfield, Bernard and Phylis Studer of Attica, Clem and Marcia Studer of Bucyrus, and Eileen Studer of Bucyrus. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Francis, Earl and Gerald Studer and a sister, Florence Cooke.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, January 19, 2003 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 AM at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Nick Cunningham and Father Clement Alt, CPPS officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to St. Mary School Endowment Fund.
