Eduard Renz

Eduard Renz, age 93, of 45 Mickey Road in Shelby, died Thursday morning in Shelby Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born February 17, 1900 in Neudorf, Poland, the son of August and Anna (Riedner) Renz. Mr. Renz carne to the United States in 1952 and became a citizen in 1957.

Mr. Renz was a retired farmer and a member of the First Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He is survived by his wife, Mathilda (Hein) Nikolai Renz whom he married in 1969; 5 sons and daughters-in-law: Albert and Christina Renz of Shelby, Erwin and Wilma Renz of Mansfield, Arnold and Virginia Renz of Shiloh, Edwin and Rosie Renz of Chicago, and Horst and Yung Ae Renz of New York; 1 daughter and son-in-law: Herta and Horst Panknin of Shelby; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 3 step-sons: William Nikolai of Chicago, Julius Nikolai of Chicago, and Heinz Nikolai of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Olga Renz in 1960.

Calling hours will be on Friday from 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the funeral service to be held Saturday at 2:00P.M. at the funeral home by the Rev. Dr. Carl L. Johnson, Pastor of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.

Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church in Shelby and left care of the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
