Edmond Lee Combs

Edmond Lee Combs, age 54, of 10 Grace Avenue, Shelby, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 6, 1999 at Med Central Shelby Hospital.
He was born April 30, 1944 in Martin, Kentucky. Mr. Combs was a former employee of Hiram Walker Wholesale Liquor Distillery in California and Copperweld, A.M.F., and Autocall in Shelby, and Westinghouse in Mansfield. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, camping and outdoor activities. He was a family man who especially loved his grandchildren and was very generous, giving of himself to any one at any time.
Mr. Combs is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Peck) Combs, whom he married April 19, 1964; a daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Steve Whisler of Mansfield; 2 sons: Kevin Combs and Stephen Combs and his special friend, Aubry Caudill all of Shelby; 3 grandchildren: Keith Edmond Combs, Angelo Combs, and Jerrylynn Kathleen Combs; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Sorg Combs of Philadelphia, PA; his father and step-mother, Savel and Nelcie Combs of Mansfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Melinda Combs of Troy, OH; his mother-in-law, Marcella Peck of Cloverdale,CA; 2 sisters-in-law: Barbara Buckingham and Joanne Peck both of Cloverdale, CA; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Edmond Combs in 1993, his mother, Beulah Marie (Parrigan) Combs in 1986 and by his father-in-law, Arthur Peck in 1964.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Mr. Dennis Burkett officiating. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Joint Veterans Council and Honors Squad of Richland County.
