Edith Catherine (Brown) Pry

Edith Catherine Pry, 99, formerly of 50 Marvin Ave., died Friday evening at Crestwood Care Center following an extended illness.

Born Dec. 9, 1885 in West Liberty, she was the daughter of Phillip and Elizabeth (Esterline) Brown. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and had been an employee of the former West Drycleaning Co. in Mansfield.

She is survived by one brother, Russell Brown of Shelby; one nephew, Robert Underhill of Shelby, with whom i she had resided the past 30 years; and two nieces: Betty Yetzer and Mary Alice Onie, both of Shelby.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice; one brother, and one sister.

The funeral service was scheduled for 2:00 today at Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl L. Johnson of First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Calling hours were scheduled for noon today until the time of the service.
