Earl H. Sergent

Earl H. Sergent, age 62, of 52 Roberts Drive, Shelby, died unexpectedly at his home Friday afternoon. He was born June 30, 1924 in Cleveland, the son of Delton B. and Mary E. (Lepp) Sergent.

Mr. Sergent is survived by his mother, Mary E. Reed of Shelby; 1 brother: Paul R. Sergent of Shelby; 3 nieces, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1955.

Mr. Sergent was a former field engineer at North Electric in Galion and was a Navy Veteran of WWII.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. James L. Smith, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Shelby officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Friends may call on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
