Dorothy Louise (Schreck) Beeching

Dorothy Louise Beeching, age 82, of Shelby, died unexpectedly early Monday morning, June 27, 2011 at her home.

She was born February 22, 1929 in Richland County, Ohio the daughter of the late Martin and Amy (Stevens) Schreck. Dorothy was a 1947 graduate of Shelby High School and was a former employee of the Shelby Mutual Insurance Agency and the Richland Mall. She was a former member of the EUB Church and taught Sunday school at Trinity United Methodist Church. She was currently a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby where she also taught Sunday school . She was a long-time volunteer at the Renaissance Theater in Mansfield and Med Central Shelby Hospital and belonged to Fond Memories Doll Club.

Dorothy is survived by her husband: Herbert S. Beeching, whom she wed on October 23, 1954; 2 daughters: Cindy Stanford (Ben Lash) of Shelby and Amy Beeching of Shiloh; 3 grandchildren: Holly (Justin) Hensley, Derek Stanford, Cassie Stanford; a sister: Margaret Monn of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: Martin Leslie Schreck and Reed Schreck.

Friends may call on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 10:30 AM at First Lutheran Church in Shelby with Pastor Russ Yoak officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
