Dorothy Ellen (Truex) Reber

Dorothy Ellen Reber, age 78, of 69 East Smiley Avenue, Shelby, died Monday, Marth 20, 2000 in Med Central Shelby Hospital after a short illness.

She was born July 21, 1921 in Ashland, Ohio. Mrs. Reber retired from National Laytex Products in Ashland and was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church. She loved and enjoyed her family.

Surviving are 5 sons and 2 daughters-in-law: W. Lauren and Winona Reber of Florida, Fred L. Reber of Mansfield, Richard D. Reber formerly of Ashland, Kenneth E. Reber of Michigan, and James A. and Shelli Reber of Ashland; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law: Margaret E. Fliger of Mansfield, Anna Marie and Tom Miller of Plymouth; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; her mother, Mary Truex of Mansfield; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Donald and Clara Truex of Shiloh, and Olney “Bud” and Nella Truex of Mansfield; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law: Grace Fern and Emmett Miller of Mansfield, and Pearl Mae Elrod of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her father, Olney Truex; a son, Carl Eugene Reber; and a sister, Frances Baldwin.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-8 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM by Father John C. Missler. Burial will be in Adario Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the family and left in care of the funeral home.
