Doris May (Stevens) Walker

Doris May Walker, age 84, of 5458 West Road, Plymouth, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter in Logan, after an extended illness. She was born June 16, 1910 in Shelby the daughter of Roy T. and Sarah R. (Wareham) Stevens.
Mrs. Walker had been a cook at the Plymouth Schools and was the manager for the senior citizen center in both Plymouth and Shiloh. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth. She married William H. Walker on July 1, 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1970.
Mrs. Walker is survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Kay and Larry Tucker of Logan; 10 grandchildren, Mary Niedermier of New Washington; Janet Francis of Advance, Missouri; Chris John Tucker of Columbus, Ohio and Rebecca Sater of Columbus, Ohio; Cory Tucker of Logan; Debbie Tucker of Logan; Mike Tucker of Logan; Brian Tucker of Logan; Mark Tucker of Logan and Christopher Allan Tucker of Logan; 16 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Gertrude Seaman of Shelby;
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Elsie Dill, Amy Schreck an infant sister and infant brother.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth with Rev. Robert Nagy, officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
Memorial expressions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home , 168 West Main Street in Shelby.
