Doris L. (Clark) Messimer

Doris L. Messimer, age 90, died Wednesday, December 01, 2004 at the Heritage Care Center after an extended illness.

She was born January 15, 1914 in Richland County the daughter of the late George W. and Stella M. (Martin) Clark. Doris was a 1931 graduate of Shiloh High School and was a member of the Ontario United Methodist Church and Shiloh Eastern Star. She was employed at the former Westinghouse in Mansfield until her retirement in 1960.

Doris is survived by her sister, Ruth Spangler of Mansfield; 1 brother, William Clark of Plymouth; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Messimer in 1969; 3 brothers, Ward, Richard and Paul Clark; 2 sisters, Marcella Coovert and Jean Smith.

Friends may call on Friday, December 3, 2004 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Graveside services will be on Saturday at 10 AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh with Rev. Clair Hess, visitation pastor of Ontario United Methodist Church officiating.
