Doris Jean (Briner) Stough

Doris Jean Stough, 76, of 73 Auburn Ave., Shelby, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at her home. She was born Jan. 3,1925 at her home on Auburn ave. and lived their her entire life. She was a 1943 graduate of Shelby High School, a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin R. Stough, whom she married on Feb.7, 1944; 3 daughters: Pamela Jacobs of Shelby, Rebecca Kiser of Columbus, and Susan Price of New Miami, Ohio. 5 grandchildren also survive: Russell Jacobs, Angela McAtee, Ryan Kiser, Michael Price, and Jeffrey Price; and a great-grandaughter, Megan Kiser.

She was preceded in death by her son David Stough in 1947, and her mother Dorothy (Sweet) Briner.

Friends may call at the Turner Funeral Home 168 W. Main St. Shelby on Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Carl G. Beighley officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby Home and Public Health.
