Doris A. (Reed) Pfahler

Doris A. Pfahler, age 86, of 11 West Madison Avenue, Shelby, died Sunday morning, June 2, 1996 in the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness. She was born November 7, 1909 in Ganges, Richland County, Ohio the daughter of Brice and Mary (Hoffman) Reed.
Mrs. Pfahler retired in 1974 from Shelby Metal Products after 46 years of service. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and A.A.R.P.
She is survived by her husband, Reuben E. Pfahler, whom she married on May 14, 1938; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Roberta Pfahler of Chandler, Arizona; 2 granddaughters, Stacy Adams of Lexington, Ohio and Jodie Hopkins of Delaware, Ohio; a special friend, Gloria Ault of Shelby; 1 sister, Ruth Steiner of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John, Garland, and Clarence Reed and by 3 sisters, Betty Lantz, Beatrice Moore, and Thelma Brown.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby and also from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Rev. D. Evan Houck, her pastor , will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
