Dora V. (Trainor) Combs

Dora V. Combs, age 90, of 53 North Gamble Street, Shelby, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at the Heritage Care Center after a short illness.

She was born September 22, 1913 in Uniontown, PA the daughter of the late James J. and Anna S. (Crow) Trainor. Dora retired from General Motors Corp. in Detroit. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Shelby Eagles and Shelby V.F.W.

Dora is survived by nieces and nephews, including Clayton (Rose) Rogers of Shelby; great niece and nephew, Tina (Marty) McKinney and Clayton Rogers all of Shelby; great great nieces, Annie and Katie McKinney of Shelby. Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Combs in 1986 and was the last survivor of 19 brothers and sisters.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service. The Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Richland County Humane Society.
