    Condolence:

I am very sorry for your loss. Don’s passing brings back all the great memories I have of the summers with his father and mother, Bill and Lee in the late 1960’s in Shelby. I will cherish those memories and Don will always have a place in my heart for his dignity and caring nature. He was so good to his parents and his sister, Patty, in their illnesses. He was truly was a good son, brother, father, and mate.

I regret with the passage of time that we did not see each other more often.

    Love to you all,

    Louie

I was very sad when I heard of Donald’s passing. I only knew Donald for a few short years, but admired him very much. I loved to sit and listen to him talk about all the people he knew, and he knew a lot. He was much loved and cared for by his beautiful wife, Mary, who, I know, will miss him very much, as we all will. With all my love….Shirley & Missee

Mom {Kathleen Smedley} & I were so sorry to hear of Don’s passing! Mom always said what a nice & kind man he was. He was my cousin & I only saw him a few times but every time I did he was very nice & treated me well. I believe I met him first at his parents home & they were great people too! Mom & I are very sorry but thankfully he isn’t suffering anymore ’cause cancer is a bad disease as most evryone knows but our thoughts & prayers go out to all of you!
