Donald L. Stentz
Donald L. Stentz, age 67, of 155 East Main Street, Shelby, died unexpectedly early Thursday, July 18, 1996, in the Cleveland Clinic. He was born November 17, 1928 in Ashland, Ohio the son of Paul A. and Mildred (Troup) Stentz.
Mr. Stentz graduated in 1947 from Ashland High School and retired from the City of Shelby Waste Water Treatment Plant in 1988 after 34 years of service. He attended the Shelby Alliance Church, was a member of A.A.R.P and enjoyed raising roses.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Leonhardt) Stentz whom he married on September 2, 1950; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Charles Risner of Mansfield and Linda and Clayton Hallmark of Shelby; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Mark and Martha Stentz of Shelby ,Jon and Linda Stentz of Shelby, and James Stentz of Cincinnati; a son-in-law and his wife, Dick and Karen Mott of Shelby; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Clifiton E. Stentz of Bradenton, Fla.; 1 sister, Susan Kendall of Westerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a daughter, Beth Mott in 1990.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby. Funeral services will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Shelby Alliance Church with Rev. Joe Campbell, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
