Donald Eugene Browning, Sr.

Donald Eugene Browning, Sr., age 70, of Mansfield, died Saturday, December 08, 2012 at home.

He was born May 11, 1942 in Charleston, West Virginia the son of the late Lucille (Goodwin) and Rufus Browning. Donald worked in construction most of his life and lived in California for many years. While there, he and his late wife, Jeannine, began a therapeutic riding program, Lady B Ranch, of which he was very proud. They provided this service for over 20 years.

Donald is survived by his first wife: Fran Mackey and their 2 sons: Donald E. Browning, Jr. of Shelby and James Bo (Regina) Browning of Shelby; 2 step children: John (Jennifer) Smith and Lori (Chris) Hitt; 7 grandchildren: Nichole (Nicholas) Webster, Donald E. Browning III, Danielle Browning, Larissa Browning, Kyle Stidam, Kobi McKenzie, Kaleb Browning; 6 great grandchildren: Taylor, Hailey, Ethan, Leo, Wyatt, Malayla; 3 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; 1 sister: Bonnie J. (Wayne) Liegey of FL; 2 brothers: Denver (Christine) Browning of Crestline and Jimmie D. (Karen) Browning of Mansfield, with whom he made his home. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jeannine Smitty Browning.

Friends may call on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday by Pastor Thomas Blair. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens. Memorial expressions may be made to Raemelton Therapeutic Riding Program.
