Dixie Irene (Davis) Wells

Dixie Irene Wells, age 55, of 7365 State Route 98, Shelby, died late Monday afternoon, February 16, 1998, at her home after an short illness.

She was born December 15, 1942 in Marion, Ohio the daughter of George Richard and Lois Irene (Baldwin) Davis. Mrs. Wells was a 1960 graduate of Ontario High School and was a homemaker.
She helped her husband farm and was active in 4-H, the Richland County Farm Bureau and the Morrow County Antique Tractor Association.

Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband, Gerald (Jerry) Wells, whom she married on August 31, 1963; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Amy Wells of Willard; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Stephanie and Greg Mulvane of Willard and Julie Wells of Columbus; 1 brother, Lloyd Davis of Lexington; 1 nephew and 3 great nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Erica Wells.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. with Nevin Border, a long time family friend, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial expressions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
