Delphos Adrian “Peany” Reynolds

Delphos Adrian “Peany” Reynolds, age 84, of 69 Walnut Street, Shelby, died unexpectedly at his home Monday afternoon, October 2, 1995.

He was born September 11, 1911 in Shelby, the son of Fred and Daisy Alice (Urich) Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds retired in 1973 from Copperweld Shelby Division after 38 years of service. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Good Fellowship Sunday School Class, was a past trustee, choir member and usher. He was a member of the Shelby American Legion O’Brien Post 3326 , where he was past chaplain and historian; United Steel workers Local #3057; and A.A.R.P. He was an Army veteran of W.W. II serving in the European Theater.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Geneva Maxine (Staton) Reynolds, whom he married on June 29, 1940; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Ronald Lott of Washington Court House, Ohio; 1 son, John A. Reynolds of Westlake, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, Kristin Lott and Jason Lott; 3 sisters, Velma Adams of Shelby; Florence Stoffer of Shelby; and Evelyn Apger of Shelby;

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank Reynolds in 1940 and Roscoe Reynolds in 1985.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church or to Shelby Public Health League and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street; Shelby, Ohio 44875.
