Deloris V. (Driggs) Sanders

Deloris V. Sanders, age 89, of 303 West Main Street, Shelby, and formerly of 305 Anderson Avenue, Fostoria, died Tuesday morning , September 16, 1997 in MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital after a short illness. She was born April 21, 1908 in Illinois. Mrs. Sanders moved to Ohio in 1930 coming from Wisconsin. She had been a Fostoria resident until 1982 when she moved to Shelby.

Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker. On December 6, 1931 she married Joseph H. Sanders and he preceded her in death in September 1981.

She is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Don and Donna Sanders of Shelby; 4 grandchildren, Jeff Sanders, Jeanne Baker, Jim Sanders, and Phil Sanders; 7 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Richard Driggs of Wisconsin; 3 sisters, her twin, Dorothy Hackbarth, Harriet Truckey, and Virginia Engle all of Wisconsin.

Along with her husband, She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Sanders; 1 sister, Vernice Grooms; and 3 brothers, Bernard, Orville and Everett Driggs.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M at the Hoening Funeral Home, 242 West Tiffin Street, Fostoria, Ohio. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens in Arcadia.
