David T. Reed

David T. Reed, age 45, of 4331 Plymouth-Springmill Road, Shelby, died unexpectedly Monday in Firelands Community Hospital in Sandusky. He was born October 2, 1946 in Shelby.

Mr. Reed was an employee of Copperweld-Shelby Division, and prior to that he had been an employee of the Ohio Power Company. He was a member of Clay Memorial Lutheran Church and was a 1964 graduate of Shelby Senior High School. He was an Army verteran. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Shelby Owls Club, American Legion O’Brien Post #326, and Shelby Amvets.

Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Kathy L. (Ryland) Reed, whom he married on February 11, 1967; 1 son: Michael S. Reed at home, and 1 daughter: Michelle L. Reed at home; his mother Mary E. Reed of Shelby; 1 brother: Mark E. Reed of Shelby, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Donald J. and Doris Ryland of Shelby.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. Reed in 1977.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Clay Memorial Lutheran Church with his pastor the Rev. Herbert S. Garnes, Jr., officiating.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Shelby Public Health league and left in care of the funeral home.
