David F. Walker

David F. Walker, age 62, of 3207 Hummel Road, died Wednesday morning in Shelby Memorial Hospital after suffering an apperant heart attack at home. He was born November 21, 1928 in Shelby, the son of David E. and Mildred F. (Kibler) Walker.

Mr. Walker was a former maintenance man at hospitals in New Mexico and Texas and retired from the maintenance department at the Richland County Courthouse. He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Shelby and was an Army Veteran of WWII.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Albert) Heiland Walker whom he married on May 3, 1985; 4 sons: Ronald Walker of El Paso, Texas, David Walker of Abilene, Texas, Fred Walker of Kingstop, Oklahoma, and Richard Walker of Dennison, Texas; 1 daughter, Sherry Blankenship of Sommerville, West Virginia; 17 grandchildren; 1 step son, William Heiland of Shelby, and 1 step daughter, Beth Sherk of Shelby; 1 brother, Richard Walker of Loudonville; 2 sisters: Mrs. Jan
(Mary Ann) Dick of Shelby and Mrs. Leo (Jayne) Anatra of Crestline; 2 aunts: Odeal Dick of Shelby and Doris Walker of Plymouth.

Calling hours will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with Father John Jorden officiating. Wake services will be held on Friday at 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Bethlehem.

Memorial expressions may be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and left in care of the funeral home.
