Darl E. Cobb

Darl E. Cobb, age 76, of 28 Taft Street, died Friday evening in Mansfield General Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born July 17, 1916 in Manington, WV the son of George and Beatrice (Jenny) Cobb.

Mr. Cobb retired from Ohio Steel Tube Co. in June of 1980. He was a 1935 graduate of Shelby High School and had attended Ohio University in Athens. He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics in Shelby.

Mr. Cobb is survived by his wife of 39 years, Margaret (Bigler) Cobb, whom he married on October 5, 1953; a sister-in-law, Elsie Cobb of Shelby; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gayle Cobb and a sister Pauline Linton.

Calling hours will be on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Steven C. Bond, Associate Pastor of First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home.
