Cynthia Geanneane (Powers) Powers

Cynthia Geanneane Powers, age 54, of 2170 Haywood Drive, Mansfield, died Monday, June 5, 2006 at her home after a short illness.

Geanneane was born June 13, 1951 in Wise County, Virginia the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Cynthia Ellen (Lundy) Powers. She was a 1969 graduate of Plymouth High School and was employed at Mansfield Correctional Institution for the past 8 years. Prior to that, she was employed by United Parcel Service. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking. She often shared her culinary skills with family, friends, and co-workers.

Geanneane is survived by her son and his wife, Chris and Kim Stevens of Mansfield; 2 daughters and spouses, Angela and Brett Hathaway of Greenville, South Carolina and Jamie and Scott Robinson of Butler, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, Justin, J.J., and Ashley Hathaway, Megan, Erika, Brooke, and Lauryn Robinson; a sister, Sharon Berry of Mansfield; 2 brothers, Sam and Rita Powers of Shelby and Steve and Kat Powers of South Carolina; Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call of Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street Shelby where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 10:30 AM with Minister Matt Blakely officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial expressions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio. The family would like to thank Tina Troxel and Cheryl Sneed for all their care and concern given to Geanneane during her illness.
