Cornelia T. (Maag) Sifferlin
Cornelia T. Sifferlin, age 87, of 26 Steele Avenue, Shelby, died Thursday evening at her home after an extended illness. She was born April 26, 1900 in Leipsic, Ohio, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Lammers) Maag.
Mrs. Sifferlin is survived by 3 sons: Carl Sifferlin and Roy Sifferlin both of Shelby, and Ray Sifferlin of Columbiana; 2 daughters: Sister Bernadette Sifferlin, O.S.F. of Joliet, IL, and Mrs. Byron (Rosemary) Bricker of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Dale” Sifferlin in 1962; 1 son: Dr. John Sifferlin in 1986; 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
Mrs. Sifferlin was a homemaker, a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Daughters of Isabella and the M.S.C. Auxiliary.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church with her pastor the Rev. Bernard Kokocinski officiating. Burial will follow in in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home, where a Christian wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Most Pure Heart of Mary Memorial Fund or to the Sisters of Saint Francis Developement Fund and left at the funeral home.
