Clifford H. King
Clifford H. King, age 73, of 1279 County Line Road, Crestline, died Tuesday evening at Peoples Hospital in Mansfield after a sudden illness. He was born September 20, 1920 in Richland County, Ohio, the son of Franklin Boag and Vivian (Hunter) King.
Mr. King was a retired supervisor from Quanex in Shelby and was currently employed as a security guard for Aetna at Komatsu Dresser Company in Galion. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Mr. King is survivedy by his wife, Margaret Eldene (Trauger) Armstrong King, whom he married on July 5, 1973; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Larry Beverly of Columbus; 3 grandsons: David, Dana, and Brian Beverly; 3 step-children: Lowell Bowman of Crestline; Thomas Bowman of Mansfield, and Nancy Bowman of Mansfield; 5 step-grandchildren; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law: Robert and Ruth Elaine King of Plant City, Florida; Harold and Portia King of Ashland; and Merlin and Alice King of Shelby; an uncle, Foster Hunter of Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife, Geraldine Elizabeth (Hider) King in 1971.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. John J. Bradley, pastor of the First United Church of Christ in Shelby officiating. Burial will be in Wooster Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or to the First United Church of Christ and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby.
