Clement A. Hohler, Sr.

Clement A. Hohler, Sr., age 87, of Smiley Gardens, Shelby, died unexpectedly Friday morning in Mansfield General Hospital. He was born January 20, 1902 in Monroeville, Ohio the son of Joseph and Frances (Meyer) Hohler.
Mr. Hohler had been a meat cutter all of his life, retiring as co-owner of Hohler’s Market in Shelby. He was a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church, and was an honorary life member of the Shelby Knights Of Columbus Council #1968.
Mr. Hohler is survived by 2 sons: Clem, Jr. of Shelby and James of Houston; 3 daughters: Mrs. Kent (Alice) Hodges of Redding, CA; Mrs. Floyd (June) James of Shelby; and
Mrs. John (Mary) Ehmann of Bucyrus; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchilren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Burns Hohler in 1969; 1 son William; 2 grandchildren; 10 brothers and sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church with his pastor the Rev. John C. Missler, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home where wake services will be held at 8:30 P.M.
