Clay P. Caudill

Clay P. Caudill, 60, of Linn Road, died Saturday evening at his home after a farm accident.

Ms. Caudill was born June 20, 1929, at Morehead, KY. He was a retired millwright with Union Local No. 1871 and was also a farmer. He was a member of Taylortown Community Church, Mansfield Venus Lodge No. 152, F&AM, Mansfield Chapter No. 28 Royal Arch Mason, Mansfield Council No. 94 RSM, Mansfield Commandery No. 28, Mansfield Baku Grotto, Mansfield Liederkranz, the Mansfield Moose Lodge, and the Crestline Veterans of Foreign Wars post.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Herold Caudill, whom he married on June 20, 1987; two sons: Stephen of Plymouth and Dennis of Kannapolis, NC; two grandsons; two step-daughters: Mrs. Terry (Susan) Bennett of Mansfield and Karen Heiser of Ft. Collins, CO; one step-granddaughter; his mother, Birchie Patton Johnson of Shelby; one brother, Dixon Caudill of Tucson, AZ; one sister, Mrs. George (Elizabeth) Taggett of Vassar, MI; two step-brothers: Sheridan Caudill of California and Jordan Caudill of Washington; and one step-sister, Dosha Roberts of Morehead, KY.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Caudill, and two brothers.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where Masonic services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Taylortown Community Church by his pastor, the Rev. Edward N. Beck. Burial will be in the Masonic Section at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Taylortown Community Church in care of the funeral home.
