Clarence E. “Al” Yockey
Clarence E. “Al” Yockey, age 60, a former Mansfield area resident, died Wednesday at his home in Lewisburg, Tennessee, where he had resided the past 8 years. He was born January 19, 1928 in New Lyme, Ohio, the son of Clarence Alton and Mary (Hoak) Yockey.
Mr. Yockey is survived by 2 sons: David A. Yockey of Lexington and Geoffrey Yockey of Jacksonville, FL; 4 daughters: Mrs. Gary (Kay) Williams and Mrs. John (Debbie) Croft both of Lexington, Mrs. Thomas (Diana) Smith of Zanesville, and Laurie Yockey of Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 1 brother, Glenn Yockey of Tampa, FL; 4 sisters Mrs. George (Florence) Sands, Mrs. Frances Stroup, and Mrs. Marguerite Miller all of Shelby, Mrs. Ora (Dora) Sauder of Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: John, Harold, and Victor and by 1 sister, Jane Yockey.
Mr. Yockey was an electronic technician at Teledyne in Lewisburg. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home where funeral services will
be held on Monday at 11:00 A.M. conducted by Tom Smith.
Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
