Charles LeRoy “Catter” Miller

Charles LeRoy “Catter” Miller, 79, of 26 Grove Ave., died Thursday morning at his home following an extended illness. Born Jan. 7, 1907 in Shelby, he was a the son of Cameron Miller and Anna E. (Weaver) Minck Miller. He was a lifelong Shelby resident.
A retired fireman and guard at the former General Services Administration building, he was a Navy veteran who served in World War II. He was a member of the V.F. W. George Broderick Post No. 291 in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie O. (Andersen) Miller; one son, Ardon R. “Sonny” Miller of Mansfield; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sue Miller of Shelby.
He was preceded in death by one sister, LaDonna Melick, in 1985.
Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Carl L. Johnson, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Friends may call 3-5 this afternoon and 7-9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church and can be left at the funeral home.
