Charles Floyd Hartz

Charles Floyd Hartz, 46, of Rock Road, died Monday afternoon at his home following a six-month illness.

Born Feb. 1, 1938 in Willard, his parents were Charles F. and Beatrice (Robinson) Hartz. His father preceded him in death in 1979.

He was married June 28, 1959 to Kay Miller who survives. Also surviving are his mother, and a son, David of Shelby; two daughters: Cathy and Sandra, both at home; a brother, Edwin Hartz of Ashland; and a sister, Linda Gwirtz of Shelby; three nieces and two nephews.

He was employed at Ohio Steel Tube Company and affiliated with First United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Carl Beighley officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Shelby Public Health League, or First United Methodist Church and left at the funeral home.
