Charles Christian Jeffers

Charles C. JEFFERS, 97, formerly of Woodsfield, OH, died Saturday evening in the Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness. He was born April 5, 1891 in Monroe County, Ohio to the late Marion and Elizabeth (Roth) Jeffers.

Mr. Jeffers is survived by one son, Eugene Jeffers of Shelby; and by one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Lorraine) Workman of Shelby.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lela (Pyles) Jeffers in 1970; and by one grandaughter, Candace Jeffers in 1969.

Mr. Jeffers was a retired rural mail carrier. He was a veteran of WWI and a member of the Woodsfield United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home in Woodsfield
by the Rev. Dennis Bewley. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Woodsfield. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodsfield United Methodist Church and left at the Turner Funeral in Shelby, which is in charge of local arrangements.
