Cecile L. (Miller) Alt

Cecile L. Alt, age 90, formerly of 114 Park Village, died Friday, July 12, 1996 in the Crestline Hospital after a short illness. She was born August 13, 1905 in Galion, Ohio the daughter of
William and Arinda (Reed) Miller.
Mrs. Alt was a homemaker and a member of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby, the Altar and Rosary Society, Saint Ann’s Society, M.S.C. Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and A.A.R.P.
She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Idonna and Leonard Rietschlin of Crestline, and Mary and Charles Studer of Crestline; 5 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Richard Robert Alt of Sandusky, William Phillip and Janette Alt of Apopka, Florida, Albert Allan Alt of Sandusky, David Alt of Mansfield, and Daniel L. and Barbara Alt of Shelby; 24 grandchildren; and 43 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Gladys Sargent of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Alt in 1974;
1 granddaughter, Lucy Rietschlin a grandson , James Rietschlin, and by 3 brothers, Edward Miller, Melvin Miller, and Glenn Miller; 2 sisters, Pearl Glasgow and Ruth Etdler.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where a Christian Wake service will be held at 8:30 P.M. Sunday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby, with Father John C. Missler, officiating. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
