Cecelia Ann “Cece” (Metzger) Livesay

Cecelia Ann “Cece” Livesay, age 64, of 3686 Mary Lou Lane, Ontario, died Tuesday, December 17, 1996, at her home after an extended illness. She was born May 10, 1932 in Shelby the daughter of Bernard “Barney” and Mary (Keffler) Metzger.

Mrs. Livesay retired from the Boales Insurance Company in Ashland after 20 years of service. She graduated in 1951 from Tiro High School.

She is survived by her husband, Maynard W. “Boz” Livesay, whom she married on August 6, 1955; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Donna Livesay of Bellville, Ohio; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Martha Kay Livesay of Fairfield, California and Ruth and Ron Von Stein of Tiro, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Raymond Metzger of Shelby; William Metzger of California; and Philip Metzger of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; 4 sisters, Irene Klopfenstein of Crestline, Ohio; Clara Dunn of North Olmstead, Ohio; Joan Glaser of Louisville, Ohio; and Zita Waechter of Louisville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a son Charles Edward Livesay.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m., officiated by Father John C. Missler, pastor of Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
