Carolyn Lee (McKinney) Rush

Carolyn Lee (McKinney) Rush, age 43, of 2737 Berry Road, Akron, died Saturday evening in Akron General Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born December 26, 1947 in Shelby.
Mrs. Rush was a registered nurse at Akron General Medical Center. She was a 1965 graduate of Shelby Senior High School and a 1968 graduate of the Mansfield General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Arlington Memorial Baptist Church in Akron.
Mrs. Rush is survived by her husband, James E. Rush, whom she married on June 22, 1969; 2 sons: Scott Eric Rush and Jonathan Todd Rush both at home; her parents, Ross and Vivian (Bly) McKinney of Shelby; 1 brother: Willard M. McKinney of Shelby, and 1 sister: Kathryn A. Fidler of Shelby, her paternal grandfather: Martin Perry McKinney of Shelby, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Madaline Bly, and Edna M. McKinney.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 at the Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, 2230 East Market Street, Akron with the Rev. Donald T. Davies officiating. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 5-B P.M. at the Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Road, Norton, Ohio. Additional calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 1:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. at the
Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby where services will held at 2:30P.M. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
Memorial expressions may be made to the Arlington Memorial Baptist Church or to the American Diabetes Association and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home who is in charge of the arrangements.
