Carolyn I. (DeWitt) Vorase

Carolyn I. DeWitt Vorase, age 66, formerly of 625 Candlewood Trail, Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the Mifflin Care Center after a long illness.

She was born May 2, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of the late
Lester and Mary (Reilly) DeWitt. She had lived and worked in Mansfield for many years and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Carolyn was a great cat lover, especially her beloved Smokey.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Bob) Iams of Lexington and Angel Vorase and special friend Ellis Ballard of Tampa, FL.; 4 grandchildren: Nicole Kollar, Eric Kollar, Amanda Vorase, Beth Kollar; 2 sisters, Glenda Sexton Selbo of Shelby and Doris Valk of Shelby; a brother Harold Yogi (Linda) Moore of Shelby; Sister-in-law, Phyllis DeWitt of Shelby and Special Niece, Jeanean Perry of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stepfather, Glen Moore, 3 brothers, Walter DeWitt, James and Lewis Moore, a sister, Lucille Rose Moore and a brother-in-law, Carl Selbo.

Friends may call on Monday, November 15, 2004 from Noon-2 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral services will be on Monday at 2 PM with Rev. Monty Perry and Rev. Bob Beatty officiating. Memorial expressions may be made to the Richland County Humane Society.
