Carl Miller, 82, of 38 Bradley Ave., died Friday night in Shelby Memorial Hospital.
Born May 30, 1904, in Henry County, Ohio, to the late Edward Daniel and Dolly (Smith) Miller, he retired in 1967 as a foreman from Ohio Steel Tube Co. after 38 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Marguerite Yockey Miller; two sons: James of Mansfield, and Raymond of Newark, Ohio; a daughter: Ruth Gilmore of Coshocton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Don Miller of Toledo, Charles Miller of Texas, and Charles McKinney of Indiana; and three sisters: Nina Rentz of Malinta, Ohio, Edna Dishong of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Fern Melvin of Frankfurt, IN.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Melvin O. Welch. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to the time of services at the funeral home.
