C. Marjorie (Ford) Paine

C. Marjorie (Ford) Paine, age 90, of 98 Park Village, Shelby, died Thursday morning in the Crestwood Care Center after a long illness.
She was born September 14, 1904 in Adario, the daughter of Bert and Sarah (Kirkland) Ford.
Mrs. Paine taught in a one room school house in Ashland County, having her brother Bob as a student. She and her husband Carl, operated Paine’s Music Store on North Gamble Street in Shelby for many years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she had been a member of the choir and United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her husband, Carl G. Paine, whom she married on March 10, 1926; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and James Griffeth of Shelby; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Sally Paine of Strongsville; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by 4 brothers, Donald, Paul, Kenneth, and Robert Ford.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby. Funeral service will held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Matthews, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby.
