C. Jack Fogle
C. Jack Fogle, age 66, of 12 North Long Street in Shelby died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at Shelby Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack while golfing at Woody Ridge
Golf Course. He was born June 12, 1926 in Rudolph, Ohio the son of Phillip and Eva (Conn) Fogle.
Mr. Fogle retired in 1988 from Tech Form Industries in Shelby after 26 years of service. He was a 1944 graduate of Liberty High School. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of O’Brien Post #326 Shelby American Legion where he was a Past Commander and golfed on the golf league. He was a member of the Shelby Owls Club and A.A.R.P.
Mr. Fogle is survived by his wife, Betty (Whitacre) Fogle whom he married on January 5, 1946; 3 sons and daughters- in-law: Robart and. Susan Fogle of Bucyrus; William and Gela Fogle of Cerritos, CA; Jay and Kim Fogle of Shelby; 1 daughter: Rebecca Davis of Shelby; 5 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Howard Fogle of Bowling Green, Ohio and Paul Fogle of Charlotte, NC; 3 sisters: Ethelyn Thomas of Elmore, Ohio; Clarice Creps of Phoenix, Arizona; and Alice Schroeder of Cygnet, Ohio. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and his parents.
Calling hours will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at theTurner Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday with the Rev. J. Malcolm Brook, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
