Buncie Jo (Gayheart) Burdge

Buncie Jo Burdge, age 64, of 148 West Park Drive, Shelby, died Sunday evening
in the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus after a short illness.

She was born October 4, 1929 in Prestonburg, Kentucky the daughter of John and Glaydis (Kooley) Gayheart.

Mrs. Burdge was a homemaker and a member of the Temple Of Faith Church in Shelby.

She is survived by 3 daughters and 1 son-in-law: Pam and Richard Carroll of Mansfield, Alicia Burdge of Shelby, and Twyla Burdge of Mansfield; 1 son, Rodney H. Burdge of Lexington; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her mother, Glaydis Gayheart of Shelby; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law: Rev. Edward and Evelyn Gayheart of Shelby, Forest and Blanch Gayheart of Shelby, Rev. Lowell and Pat Gayheart of Shelby and Roger Gayheart of Shiloh; 3 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law: Jackie and Harley Hoover of Shiloh, Harriett and Charles Saunders of Mansfield, and Georgia and Kenneth Barnett of Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Burdge in 1983, her father John Gayheart and 1 brother, Vaughn Gayheart.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Temple of Faith Church on Taylortown Road in Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Edward Gayheart, Rev. Lowell Gayheart, and Rev. Clifford Cook officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Temple of Faith Church and left in care of the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, which is in charge of the arrangements.
