Blanche (Scott) Acord

Blanche Acord, 84, of Crestwood Care Center and formerly of Delbarton, West Virginia, died Saturday, May 31, 1997, at MedCentra1 Shelby Hospital. She was born October 12, 1913, at Blair Mountain in Logan County, WV, to Bill and Nancy Jane (Morgan) Scott. She is survived by one brother, Millard Morgan of Lando Mines, WV; one sister, Edna Jarrells of Columbus; and a sister-in-Iaw, Geneva Morgan of Shelby. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill Scott, Dave Morgan, Clarence Morgan, and Sam Morgan; and one sister, Rosie McDonald. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chafin Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Lewis Hall, Jr. Burial will be in Ferrell Cemetery in Delbarton, WV. Local arrangements handled by the Turner Funeral Home.
