Birchie (Patton) Caudill Johnson
Birchie Caudill Johnson, age 92, of Plymouth-Springmill Road, Shelby, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter in Caro, Michigan.
She was born April 16, 1899 in Morehead, Kentucky, the daughter of Alex and Nannie (Turner) Patton. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of the Taylortown Community Church.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by 1 son, Dixon Caudill of Tuscon, Arizona; 1 daughter, Elizabeth Taggett of Caro, Michigan; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 step-son, Sheridan Caudill of California; 2 step-daughters: Elda Gearheart of Muncie, Indiana, and Dosha Roberts of Morehead, KY; 2 brothers: Robert Patton of Shiloh and Wilbur Patton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Stephen Caudill and her second husband
Gene Johnson; 3 sons: Elmo, Winfred, and Clay Caudill; 3 brothers: Charles, Joseph and Eugene Patton, 1 sister Eva Flynn; and a step son Jordan Caudill.
Calling hours will be on friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at the Taylortown Community Church with her pastor the Rev. Dr. Edward N. Beck, officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
Memorial expressions may be made to the Bay City Hospice and left in care of the funeral home.
