Miss Betty, Thank you for raising your son Tom to be such
a nice guy and good father. Tom & Mary raised your beautiful
Grand-daughter Missy. Our nephew Daniel was so lucky to marry
Missy. Now they are raising your Great Grand- daughter Lily.
You have been a lovely part of our life. We’re so glad Lily will
know the Catholic Church the way you did. We loved the twinkle in your eye. You radiated faith and confidence. My Grand- niece has your example to follow. We will carry the memory of you laughing with your beautiful family forever. God Bless you and keep you.

    Condolence:

My condolences to the McBride and Ruckman family for the passing of Betty. I always heard her called “Grandma Betty” by her grand children, my nieces. I always enjoyed talking to Betty, she was always fun and “that laugh”. I will miss it and her. Betty’s mother and my grand mother, Maggie [Healy] Solomon used to play together as children [probably in the 1880s]in Shelby down at the end of Broadway [know then as Irishtown]. Small world as they say.
I will not be able to attend the funeral mass due previous engagement. But you all will be in my thoughts.

I was very sad to hear of your mother’s passing. She was wonderful lady. She had a care and warmth about her that made everyone around her feel good. She had a fistyness about her along with her independence that made her truly a unique person and it was my honor to have known her. May the strength from god help you through this. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
