Betty C. (Reed) Lantz

Betty C. Lantz, 67, of 28 Sherwood Drive, Shelby, died early Saturday morning in the Crestwood Care Center after a 5-month illness. She was born August 27, 1919 in Plymouth, the daughter of Brice and Mary (Hoffman) Reed.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn S. Lantz whom she married on April 7, 1939; one daughter: Mrs. Larry (DeLayne) Simms of Mansfield; two grandchildren; 4 sisters: Beatrice Moore and Mrs. Reubin (Doris) Pfahler of Shelby, Thelma Brown of North Fairfield, and Ruth Steiner of Mansfield. Two brothers: Clarence Reed of Shelby and John Reed of Findlay.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at the Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Monday where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
