Bertis Ingram

Former Shelby resident Bertis Ingram, 75, of 21 Forest Glenn Drive, Middletown, Ohio, and formerly of West Main Street, Shelby, died Thursday afternoon in Middletown Regional Hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Ingram was born August 30, 1909, in Scranton, KY, the son of John M. and Norra M. (Straton) Ingram. He retired in 1974 from the Autocall Division of the Federal Signal Corp. of Shelby.

He is survived by two sons: Denzil of Shelby and James of Colman, AL; one daughter, Reba Montgomery of Middletown; three grandchildren; and five brothers: Seebert and Eathern, both of Shelby, Ray of Crestline, Arthur of Canal Winchester, and Walter of Fairborn.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Turner Funeral Home by the Rev. Floyd Whitesel of the First Church of God. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
