Bertha (Laubie) Hoehn

BERTHA B. LAUBIE HOEHN, AGE 89, OF 81 Raymond Avenue, Shelby, died Monday, October 4, 1999 in the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness.

She was born July 8, 1910 in Shelby, the daughter of the late William and Laura (Gabriel) Laubie. Mrs. Hoehn was a 1928 graduate of Shelby High School and was a homemaker.

On April 11, 1942 she married Philip Hoehn. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, a Charter member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Council #1968, and was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Louise and Gary Herman of Shelby; 4 grandchildren and spouse: Julie and Matthew Gabrovic of Apopka, FL; Laura Herman of Cincinnati; Gary Herman, Jr. of Orlando, FL; and Scott Herman of Shelby; 2 great grandchildren: Grace and Amelia Gabrovic.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip on August 31, 1982; a brother, Fred Laubie; and a sister, Helen Laubie Southard.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Most Pure Heart Of Mary Catholic Church with Father John C. Missler officiating.
