Bernice E. (Laser) France Raiser
Bernice E. France Raiser, 68, of 5490 Ganges Five Points Road, was received into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ at her home this morning.
Born April 3, 1924 in Richland County the daughter of Charles and Anna (Dalfum) Laser, she was a homemaker and was a retired employee of the Shelby Insurance Company.
She was an active member of the Ganges Community Church, where she served as president of the Consistory and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She served as a volunteer for Shelby Help Line Ministries “Home and Family Living Series” for the past four years.
She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Raiser, whom she married on Nov. 28, 1981;
two daughters and sons-in-Iaw: Judy and Don Hedderig of Auburn, IN, and Marcia and Bruce Snyder of Crestline; eight grandchildren and their families: Amy, Tom, Elizabeth, T.J. and Matthew Houck, Tanya and Steve Lepard, Betsy, Pat and Stuart Thorp, Melissa, Rex and Nicholas Perlich, Joseph, Benjamin, Amanda and Paul Snyder; one stepson: Lane Raiser of Lucasville; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Laura Baker of Shelby, and Dagmar and Bill Wickiser of Ashland; one brother and two sisters-in- law: John and Audrey Laser of Plymouth, and Elsie Laser of Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey France, in 1978; three brothers, and one sister.
A worship service to celebrate her homegoing will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ganges Community Church with her pastor, the Rev. Harley Holden, officiating. Burial will be in Ganges Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Turner Funeral Home.
