Beatrice J. (Reed) Moore
Beatrice J. Moore, age 85, formerly of 90 North Gamble Street, died Saturday evening in the Crestwood Care Center after a short illness. She was born October 30, 1906 in Ganges, the daughter of Brice N. and Mary Alberta (Hoffman) Reed.
Mrs. Moore was a former employee of the Shelby Metal Products and the Shelby Novelty Co. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Rizpah Chapter #1153, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a 1925 graduate of Mansfield High School.
Mrs. Moore is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn and John Cole of Shelby; a granddaughter, Jill Cole of Shelby; and 2 great-grandsons, Johnathan and Justin; 1 brother, Clarence Reed of Shelby; 3 sisters: Thelma Brown of North Fairfield, Doris Pfahler of Shelby, and Ruth Steiner of Mansfield; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett G. Moore in 1968; 2 brothers: Garland and John Reed; and 1 sister Betty Lantz.
Calling hours will be today from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. with her pastor Rev. Dr. Carl L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. Eastern Star Services will be held this evening at 8:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial expressions may be made to the First Lutheran Church and left in care of the funeral home.
