Beatrice Dana (Swanger) Baker
Beatrice Dana Baker, age 92, of Shelby, died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Hospice House in Ashland.
She was born September 5, 1920 in Richland County, Ohio the daughter of the late William K. and Grace E. (Gutshall) Swanger. Bea attended Tiro schools and was a 29 year employee of Shelby Business Forms. She enjoyed counted cross stitching and beading jewelry.
Bea is survived by her 4 children: William (Patsy) Baker of Bowling Green, OH; Judy (Ed) Binion of Shelby; Tina (Nick) Yosick of Mound City, KS; Mary Lou (Charles) Lively of Wapakoneta, OH; 11 Grandchildren; 22 Great grandchildren; 5 siblings: Kenneth Swanger, Glenn (Bonnie) Swanger, William Swanger, Jr., Donald Swanger, Elsie (Lester) Shepherd all of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond G. Baker in 2002; a brother: Frank Swanger; 3 sisters: Gladys Ewing, Helen Lybarger and Mildred Pugh.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM conducted by Pastor David Davenport of Faith Baptist Church in Ontario.
