Barbara A. Rowe, age 74, of Shiloh, died Friday, May 25, 2012 at Kingston of Ashland after fighting a long hard battle with emphysema.
Barb was born February 2, 1938 in New London, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ralph Stone and Marjorie Grace (Kinney) Churella. She was a graduate of New London High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College in Business Management. She was a great homemaker and a wonderful cook. Barb enjoyed watching baseball and loved to visit with family and friends.
Barb is survived by her son, Mike (Ivy) Weaver, of Plymouth; a grandson, Eric Weaver, of Plymouth; her longtime companion, Jim Huston, and his children, Mary Beth Barber, of Shiloh, Joann Mabry, of Shelby, Chuck Huston, of Plymouth, Judy Kinney, of Marion; a sister, Peggy (David) Stewart of Hilton Head, SC; a brother, John (Pam) Churella, of New London; step daughters, Beth (Bill) Burnwinkel, of Cincinnati, Linda (Zeke) Howard, of Ashland, Sharon (Phil) Strong of Tellico Plains, TN; step grandchildren, Brett (Jamie) King, of Plymouth, Brooke(Andy) Miller, of Greenwich; step great grandson, Evan King; a special longtime friend and caregiver, Stella Finnegan, of Rome, OH. She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Roscoe Hamman and Charles Rowe.
Private graveside services will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh-Cass-Bloominggrove Fire Department.
