Avanell Audrey (Blevins) Butts
Avanell Audrey Butts, age 76, of 131 East Main Street, Shelby, died Monday, February 12, 2001 at her home after an extended illness.
She was born November 2, 1924 in Olive Hill, Kentucky the daughter of John Milton and Zera
(Reeder) Blevins. Mrs. Butts was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and doing puzzles.
She is survived by 3 daughters and a son-in-law: Dolores Butts and Carolyn Koppler both of Shelby and Barbara and Richard Skory of Broomhall, Colorado; a son, Jack Butts of Shelby; 2 grandsons and spouse: Michael Koppler and Jason and Angela Skory;4 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law: Robert Blevins of Olive Hill, KY, Clifford Blevins of Shelby, Frank and Louise Blevins of Ontario, Rondell and Diane Blevins of Hale, MI; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Sabra and Chester White of Shelby and Doris and William Griffitts of Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Lawrence Butts in 1953; 3 sisters: Pauline Rose, Hildreth Binion, and Marie Rose; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Wilson Blevins.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 from 6-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home,
168 West Main Street, Shelby, Ohio 44875, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with her nephew, Rev. David Blevins, pastor of Grace Bretheran Church in New Philadelphia officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. Memorial expressions may be made to Med Central Hospice.
