Artie G. Hopkins

Artie G. Hopkins, age 91, of 23 Park Village, died Sunday evening in Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness. She was born September 22, 1898 in Uhrichville, Ohio the daughter of James and Caroline (Frazee) Hopkins.

Known to everyone as “Aunt Artie” she had assisted many area families needing home health care. She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church, the Rome Country Womens Club, Angelus Chapter #322 Order of the Eastern Star in Shiloh, and Shiloh Grange.

She is survived by 1 sister Helen Hopkins of Shelby; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 sister Florence and 1 brother Lawrence.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby with her pastor the Rev. William Graham, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home. Eastern Star Services will be conducted at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Memorial expressions may be made to the Shiloh United Methodist Church and left at the funeral home.
